PRP INJECTIONS

PRP Injections are a common non-surgical treatment used for chronic tendon, ligament and muscle injuries. They can be used in the joints and along the spine, and are popular solutions for injuries such as tennis elbow.
PRP stands for platelet rich plasma. Platelets are one of the main components of blood and can help with tissue repair. This treatment can be done right in an outpatient procedure.
Dr. Enty, our board-certified anesthesiologist will start by removing a small vial of blood and separating the components to extract platelet-rich plasma. Then, the plasma is injected directly into the joint at the site of pain. This modern technology, paired with the body’s own unique, natural healing abilities, allow for accelerated healing and faster recovery.

HTA or Human Tissue Allograft is an exciting procedure used for wound healing and management. Here at Genesis Pain and Restorative Medicine, we offer HTA services for our patients who need it.

DISCOGRAMS
Here at Genesis Pain and Regenerative Medicine, we know that half of the battle with pain treatment is locating the source of discomfort. This is why we offer discogram procedures.
This state-of-the-art pain evaluation test is used to locate the source of your neck or back pain so that you can get the relief that you need. This test stresses the discs on the spine to help locate the exact source of the pain. Here’s how it works.
While the patient is sedated, a needle is placed into the center of their disc’s nucleus. A dye is then injected into the center of the disc and an X-ray or CT scan is used to identify any cracks in the discs.
This treatment works to pinpoint the exact location of your disc issue, and help our doctors determine whether the source of your discomfort, so you can get the exact treatment you need to make back pain a thing of the past.
EPIDURAL INJECTIONS
Epidural steroid injections are a common practice to help treat spinal pain. When the nerve roots of the spine are inflamed from regular irritation, it can be difficult for your spin to heal.
An epidural steroid injection places an anti-inflammatory into the epidural space in the low back to decrease inflammation and reduce pain. It can provide permanent relief, or relief for several months while your injury heals.

NERVE BLOCKS
When pain management techniques fail to relieve severe acute pain, sometimes a nerve block can be used for the most painful of conditions. There are a few different types of nerve blocks, depending on the area that needs to be treated.
When a group of nerves, also known as a plexus, causes pain to a specific area of the body, a special injection can be applied to that area with a nerve-numbing substance, also known as a block. With the nerves numbed, it can prevent these nerves from delivering pain signals, so you can get relief from your pain.
This procedure is quick and effective and can be done by Dr. Enty in a short, outpatient visit right here in on of our Dallas/Fort Worth area offices.
BOTOX FOR HEADACHES AND INTRAMUSCULAR PAIN
Migraine pain is one of the most debilitating forms of pain out there. Many people who suffer from chronic migraines assume there is no way to prevent these headaches from taking over their life. However, with Botox injections, you can finally get your chronic migraines under control.
While many people assume Botox is only for cosmetic treatments, research has found this medical injection can help lessen the frequency of migraine headaches. While these injections won’t cure an existing migraine, they can help prevent the release of certain neurotransmitters that are known for generating migraine headaches.
This simple injection can also help with intramuscular pain. Botox injections are routinely given once every three months to treat migraines. The procedures are performed right here in our Dallas/Fort Worth area offices.
NEUROABLATION (CHEMICAL RADIOFREQUENCY)
Neuroablation is a minimally invasive treatment that can help reduce pain in the facet joints of your neck and spine. These joints are located along the back of the spine and can become easily inflamed or irritated.
With radiofrequency neuroablation, heat is used to interfere with the nerves in this area to temporarily prevent them from sending pain signals to your brain. Under the experienced care of Dr. Enty, a small needle-like tube will be positioned in the area of your medial branch nerve. Then, radiofrequency electrodes will be inserted through this canal.
This is an effective pain-blocking procedure that can be done in an outpatient procedure. This treatment can provide pain relief for up to a year and can finally deliver those with serious neck and back pain with the relief they have been looking for.
SYMPHATHETIC CHAIN BLOCKADES
Sympathetic chain blockades are a powerful way to stop chronic pain. These nerve blocks actually inject medication around the sympathetic nerve—the nerve that runs around the front of the spinal column. These nerves control a number of body functions from heart rate and sweating, to blood pressure and digestion. It also controls blood flow to the extremities.
With this treatment, the sympathetic nervous system is temporarily blocked in an effort to reduce or eliminate pain. We administer these injections as an outpatient procedure. Patients will typically come back every 7-10 days following their injection for additional blocks until the pain has gone.
The actual injection is a mix of anesthetic medicine and an anti-inflammatory steroid. It is carefully administered, using guidance from an x-ray and a very small needle to make sure it hits the sympathetic nerves. This treatment helps many of our patients get the much-needed relief they have been looking for. SPINAL CORD STIMULATION
Spinal cord stimulation is a treatment developed for individuals with chronic back pain. Whether this lasting back pain is a spinal condition, failed surgery or a disease such as fibromyalgia, when other treatments fail to deliver relief—a spinal cord stimulator may be the solution.
This treatment is done as an outpatient procedure and involves a small, low-voltage stimulator that is implanted in the body. During the procedure, thin wires with electrical tips are placed near the spinal column using a needle. Then, we will make a small incision and place a generator near the upper buttock or abdomen, underneath the skin.
This programmable generator will emit electrical currents throughout the spinal column. The goal of these small currents is to interrupt pain signals and turn them into a softer, pleasant, tingling sensation, alleviating that difficult, chronic back pain. The stimulation can be changed at any time, depending on your individual symptoms.
